go electric!

The time has already come to think about our environment, our society and in a broader sense, about the planet. We can do something which doesn’t cost much, which don’t hamper our lifestyle. Its not easy to find a place in near future outside the planet to stay. So we have to take care of our beautiful planet and think for its sustainability. Now the main threat is due to global warming and carbon dioxide gas is a primary contributor to this. This killer gas is emitted mainly from industries and automobiles. According to a report of international energy agency (IEA), in 2007 two sectors, electricity heat generation and transport, produced nearly two third of the global co2 emission.  For transport it is only 23%.The Primary energy supply in the world is from fossil i.e 82% of energy from fossil fuel in 2007. Fossil energy mainly comes from petroleum, coal etc. In top 10 emitting countries, china is in top, then U.S.A. In 2007, BRICS countries represented 30% of global energy usage and 33% of global co2 emission whereas India emits around 5% of the global co2 emission and from that transport accounts for 9% of the co2 emission compared to other sectors.
So what is in our hand? We are ready to spend a lot of money on a luxurious car whereas we hesitate to spend it on an electric car because it is not that sophisticated, not looking beautiful or not that much of powerful. Many benefits can be achieved by going electric.
The benefits of using an electric vehicle are like
·         it will  not emit carbon dioxide to environment
·         maintenance is low
·         save money on fuel
·         Preserve fossil fuels for our offspring etc.
Most of us have a wrong notion that an electric vehicle gives less mileage, power and other problems like battery charge. But most of the electric car manufacturers are using lithium ion battery which lasts long and take less time to charge. A 90 minute charge can give back up for around 8 hours and mileage can be 80 to 100 kmh. Now more companies are focusing on electric cars and more upcoming models are going to hit the road in near future. I am sure the next tough competitive market in vehicle segment is the electric market. Toyota, Chevrolet, general motor already came up with their new electric models and in India, GM plans to launch its electric cars in collaboration with REVA. REVA‘s two upcoming models are NXR and NXG which are not inferior in any sense with other brands. Some of the electric vehicle manufacturers in the world are Fly Bo,Modec, Myers Motors, Reva,Twike,Venturi,Zap!electric cars,Zenn Motors,Tesla motors, Think, Porteon, universal electric vehicles,Obvio,Aptera, Ajanta etc.
So we can decrease the percentage of carbon dioxide and other harmful gas emission if we take take decision carefully. When we choose a vehicle for ourselves, we can have a option to go for electric. Join hand to hand and come forward to save the world.

life in the ashtray

He was sitting nearer to the window, constantly watching outside through the railing without movement of the eyelid. The door was locked from inside. A ray of light coming from outside through the window like a hope amid uncertainties. The room was full of dark as the lights were switched off. The smoke from the ashtray went closely besides the nose and suddenly his eyes were opened. He got up and the two minute unconsciousness seemed to be a never-ending sleep. The red tip was shrinking, suddenly he took out another cigarette and got it fired from the butt he left in the ashtray and closed his eyes.  Old puffs are replaced by new puffs, the length was shrinking quickly and within eight to nine puffs the cigarette lost its life and he threw it to the ashtray. He was trying to throw the pain outside with the smoke and seemed to be relaxed. Somebody knocked from outside, he went, switched on the lights and opened the door. But the smoke inside the ashtray still directionless and become mad, stroked itself with the wall again and again, revolved around the cavity and not finding the way to come out.

slow poison-take time to explore

Naxals, the destroyer of internal environment of the country should not be neglected. Centre refused to provide arm forces to combat against naxalite activities. Central government’s intention can not be understood why it refused to provide arm forces. Centre will have to think what should be done against these internal threats to establish peace inside the country. It is a fact that centre is taking headache against the external threats that are associated with the security issue of the country but these internal enemies like naxals, maoists should not be neglected. No country is safe in the present scenario; terrorism is a big threat to the whole world. They always target a hot spot of any country and may be they are successful in their planning, or may not be. If they are successful , then it will create a big loss for the country like India and along with that it takes many lives; but the naxals are taking two three lives daily. They are associated with murder, bomb blast of police posts, taking tribal people to join them etc. They are creating violence not only in Odisha, but many states like Andhra Pradesh, Chhatishgarh, and West Bengal. If government will not take any serious action against them, then they will spread like swine flu to other state. India is a country which is getting threat from external enemies and also from internal enemies like naxals. So to be prepared for big war, first we have to settle our internal conflict. It will be very difficult for the country to combat terrorism as well as naxalism. In Odisha they are staying in KBK areas, forcing the tribals to join them and creating violence in all parts of Odisha. I can not understand why the government is not taking any serious steps against them, may be the government will awake when they will in the same line of terrorism.

peace politics

Sometimes we get undeserved praise and also sometimes we get undeserved blame. It happened in case of Barack Obama and the father of our nation. Barack Obama, who didn’t deserve the nobel prize, unfortunately got that. Why Obama is thinking- he did not deserve it, may be his contribution towards peace is not up to the mark. Now Barack is famous because he is the president of USA, but the Nobel Committee thought that Barack is famous for the peace activities to establish peace in the world. He got the nobel prize for his initiatives to reduce nuclear weapons and establish peace in the world. The members in the nobel prize committee may be unaware about of the fact that America is the only country in the world that had used atom bombs against Japan and also America has the highest number of nuclear weapons in its hand. Whereas the father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi who spent all of his time for peace didn’t get Nobel Committee’s attention. Obama may achieve something more in a little time what Gandhiji could not achieve in his life time. May be Mahatma Gandhi’s initiatives, knowledge, deeds is negligible compared to Obama in terms of peace so that he could not be nominated for the nobel prize but they gave nobel prize to such a person who himself could not able to know why he got the prize!

They are the real ceos

I mean the politicians. The question arises how? It is known that most of the candidates who are contested in this election have no strong educational background but you are surprised to know the way they handled the election. In India basically the students who could not excel in study are entered into politics. It is not true for all. Suppose take the number of student entered into study initially is 100%. After matriculate more than 50% student left study. Only 8% to 10% students go for higher education. Most of the politicians in our country are from the 50% student who left study. So the less educational qualified student cum politicians are in the most powerful positions in our country. Why I compare the politicians with the CEOs. You are surprised to know the way they managed the election is very much similar with that of the CEOs of various large MNCs. The way they communicate, target and motivate the people is quite effective and better than various modern management theories like BCG MATRIX AND STP THEORY. Election comes once in every five year. Compare the election with the business. Various companies do business in the market and few among them hard to make profit. They do business throughout the year and adopt various modern management practices and not able to position themselves in the market but the election comes once in every five year and they positioned themselves so well that if they come to power then there is only profit and profit for next five year without no investment. They make such a huge profit that the money they save in the switch bank account is more than 25 lakh crores. It is a matter to discuss how they do this. The most important thing is communication which is done very effectively. They successfully communicate with the people even in the remotest areas. They use various vehicles for campaigning in the villages and they use even helicopters to campaign in the remote areas. To motivate the people they campaign through their star campaigners like the film stars and various celebrities. Companies communicate with the people through media, magazines, newspapers etc. for sales promotion they spend a lots of rupees and for this they contract with the celebrities like cricket players, film stars. How they target the people. They target the neutral voters to vote for their party. So before election they build the roads, bridge, and give rice in two rupees, filled of the vacancies in the schools, colleges, and visit villages, towns and ask people about their problems. They communicate in such a speed that the media like television, radio are not able to reach with that speed. It is known from a survey that they communicate with those villages which have no electricity and televisions. So think how they communicate with the places. To attract the people they compose various popular songs for campaigning. They provide rice in two rupees to BPL* card holders and easily bagged their votes. They make permanent the contractual service holders and bagged their votes.

What I want to say here is that the CEOs who are passed out from IIMS' and IITS' are not able to understand the simple logic what these illiterate politicians able to understand. The MBA graduates have to learn the techniques from the politicians. So the B schools have to invite these politicians to their institutes to teach the students.
